Unit Runs Constantly
- Disconnect the red 4-PIN CONNECTOR on the lower left side of the CIRCUIT BOARD on the back wall of the unit.
- If The TicketEater KEEPS RUNNING:
- Return the unit for repairs.
- If The Ticket Eater STOPS RUNNING, reconnect RED 4-PIN CONNECTOR and try the following:
- Shade the TICKET ENTRY SLOT from light. The ON/OFF sensor is light sensitive
- Decrease the light over the unit.
- Move the unit to a new position/location.
- If above does not solve the problem, return the unit for repairs.
Unit Doesn't Start
- Make sure POWER CORD PLUG is secure in the AC WALL OUTLET.
- Check FUSES. (If necessary, replace with same type fuse.)
- If the ANTI-THEFT CIRCUIT is activated wait 10 SECONDS, the time needed for unit to reset itself.
- Move the JUMPER from the IN to the OUT position (across the top 2 pins).
- If 1, 2 or 3 does not solve the problem, return the unit for repairs.
Unit Doesn't Count Properly
- Make sure the tickets are a standardized width (1-5/32") or within 1/32" of this width.
- If the tickets are CORRECT WIDTH:
- Make sure the DUAL SENSOR closest to the BLADE is centered directly against the MOUNTING BLOCK and is clean and free of dust.
- Make sure a ticket is not caught in the pathway of the counting sensor (DUAL SENSOR).
- Perform the recommended maintenance procedures for cleaning OPTO-SENSOR.
- Check for other obvious mechanical problems.
- If above does not solve the problem, return the unit for repairs.
Unit Doesn't Pull Tickets Through Feeder
- Try "Unit Doesn't Count Properly" procedures.
- If the ANTI-THEFT CIRCUIT is installed: Move the JUMPER from the bottom two pins to the top two pins, then:
- Check, and if necessary adjust, the FEED ROLLER TENSION SPRINGS. They may be loose, not giving enough pressure. If so tighten with thumbscrew. Also, the rubber O-Ring on the bottom drive rollers may be worn. These can be replaced. Call for our Replacement Parts list.
- Observe how the OPERATOR inserts and lets go of the tickets. Restricting ticket flow in any way may cause this problem.
Tickets Back Up in Ticket Chute
DO NOT insert multiple layers of tickets!
- Make sure the ticket exit path is clear of all obstructions. An optional stand may help.
- Make sure the trash bin is LARGE ENOUGH to hold the tickets, some customers use a 55 gallon drum. Bigger is better! If space restricts the use of a large trash bin, be sure to periodically check (while unit is in use) to make sure the cut tickets are not backing up (piling) under the unit. This will disrupt normal operation. The more space you can get between bottom of unit and top of the trash receptacle, the better.
 |
If space restricts you, our optional stand keeps tickets from backing up. |
- Remove the CHUTE and BLADE COVERS and check the bend in the TICKET CHUTE COVER located over the TICKET EXIT making sure it extends through the bottom of unit and counter or table. Make sure ticket guides around blade are positioned correctly with a gradual rounded bend to direct tickets downward.
- Check blade for dullness or breaks.
